Job Description

As a Security Officer College Campus Patrol in Brooklyn, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at an educational location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to evolving needs. Pay Rate: $21.35 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, classrooms, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, helping to support an orderly learning environment.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs for incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
