About the Position

Position Overview 

One of our Partners in North Carolina is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a short-term outpatient oncology assignment in a specialized symptom management clinic.

This role is ideal for providers with oncology experience who prefer a structured schedule with no call and focused patient care .

• $110/hour (~$5,200/week)
• Monday–Friday schedule
• No call or weekend responsibilities
• Outpatient oncology setting
• Academic medical center environment

Assignment Highlights

• 6-week assignment (May–July)
• 100% outpatient oncology care
• No call / no weekends
• Located within a Level I Trauma, 974-bed academic medical center
• Dedicated 12-bed Symptom Management Clinic
• Manage chemotherapy-related side effects
• EPIC EMR
• Orientation required (day prior to first shift)
• Malpractice insurance covered

Job Responsibilities

• Provide care for oncology patients experiencing acute treatment-related symptoms, including:
  • Nausea / vomiting
  • Dehydration
  • Fever
  • Medication reactions
• Evaluate and treat patients in outpatient setting
• Respond to infusion-related reactions in nearby suite
• Collaborate with oncology physicians and care teams
• Document in EPIC
