Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry/Medical-Surgical to join a dynamic healthcare team in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, monitoring telemetry patients, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring positive patient outcomes in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Key Responsibilities

·       Provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality nursing care to assigned patients.

·       Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor changes in patient condition.

·       Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.

·       Monitor telemetry patients and promptly respond to changes in cardiac rhythm or status.

·       Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.

·       Collaborate with physicians, case managers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.

·       Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, discharge instructions, and health promotion.

·       Perform purposeful rounding and maintain effective communication with patients and caregivers.

·       Support quality improvement initiatives, infection prevention protocols, and patient safety standards.

·       Assist with care coordination, patient throughput, and discharge planning.

·       Serve in a charge nurse capacity when assigned.

Required Qualifications

·       Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License

·       Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

·       Minimum 3 years of RN experience

·       Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience

·       Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) experience

·       Current BLS Certification

·       Current ACLS Certification

·       Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking abilities

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·       Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team

·       Strong documentation and organizational skills

·       Experience with EPIC EMR strongly preferred
