Job Details

We are excited to announce a thrilling opportunity for a permanent shop mechanic to join our dynamic team. This role is designed for a seasoned professional with a comprehensive understanding of diesel engines, mechanical maintenance, and motors. As a permanent shop mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet of vehicles and equipment, maintaining our high standards of safety, efficiency, and reliability. • Perform regular diagnostic tests on trucks and equipment to ensure they are operating at peak performance.
• Carry out preventative maintenance on diesel engines, motors, and other machinery, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems, including engine failures, transmission issues, and brake systems malfunctions.
• Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles.
• Oversee the ordering of replacement parts and equipment.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to identify and address mechanical issues, sharing expertise and knowledge to improve overall team performance.
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends, techniques, and safety regulations to ensure top-notch service delivery.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a mechanic, with a focus on diesel engines, mechanical maintenance, and motors.
• Proven expertise in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical issues in a variety of vehicles and equipment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to mechanical work.
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate records of repairs and maintenance work.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a knack for identifying and addressing mechanical issues.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex mechanical concepts in simple terms.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to staying updated on the latest industry trends, techniques, and safety regulations.
• Certification or degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in physically demanding conditions.
