Role Description The Assistant Electrician is a full-time role based in Kansas City, MO. This role supports senior electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and components associated with custom lamp and lighting exhibitions. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with wiring and fixture installation, performing routine inspections, helping diagnose and resolve electrical issues, and ensuring all work meets safety codes and company standards. The Assistant Electrician will also help prepare tools and materials for projects, document work performed, and collaborate with production, design, and installation teams to ensure timely, high-quality project delivery. On-site work at client locations and attractions are required. Qualifications Candidates should possess foundational knowledge of electricity and basic electrical principles. Candidates should possess practical skills in electrical work, including wiring, installation, and use of standard electrical tools. Candidates should possess abilities in maintenance & repair to support the upkeep of lighting systems and related electrical equipment. Candidates should possess troubleshooting skills to identify, diagnose, and assist in resolving electrical issues safely and efficiently. Candidates should possess exposure to or understanding of electrical engineering concepts relevant to lighting and power systems. Relevant technical training, apprenticeship, or certification in electrical work is beneficial. Ability to read and interpret basic electrical drawings, schematics, and work orders. Strong attention to safety, adherence to local electrical codes, and commitment to quality workmanship.
