MedTech Laboratory Field Service Engineer - Jacksonville, FL
IQVIA
IQVIA seeks a Field Service Engineer to maintain and install laboratory diagnostic medical devices in hospitals nationwide. The role requires extensive travel, technical troubleshooting expertise, and direct collaboration with healthcare facility staff to ensure equipment functionality and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform periodic maintenance, installation, and configuration of laboratory diagnostic equipment
- Provide technical communication and support to hospital staff on-site
- Conduct routine testing, record data, and document installation results
- Travel locally, regionally, and nationally to address repairs and maintenance needs
- Maintain current credentials through healthcare vendor credentialing systems
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering or 3-5+ years medical device repair experience
- Biomedical, hardware, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting expertise
- Valid unrestricted driver's license and personal vehicle for assignments
- Ability to lift 70 pounds and stand/sit for extended periods
- Professional communication skills and self-directed work approach
- Current immunizations and ability to pass hospital credentialing requirements
- US work authorization without visa sponsorship
