Retail Sales Associate

Job Title: Retail Sales AssociateLocation: Challenger (Fort Myers, FL)Employment Type: Part-TimeGoodwill Southwest Florida is seeking a customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team and help create a welcoming shopping and donation experience for our community. The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, and adaptable, with strong communication skills and a willingness to assist wherever needed. This role includes helping customers on the sales floor, operating registers and processing transactions, and being cross-trained to support backdoor donation operations to ensure an efficient and positive experience for customers and donors alike.Key Responsibilities:* Deliver excellent customer service by greeting customers, assisting shoppers on the floor, and creating a welcoming store environment.* Operate cash registers accurately and efficiently while processing customer purchases.* Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising presentation standards.* Cross-train to support backdoor operations and safely handle incoming donations as needed.* Night and weekend availability.Qualifications:* High school diploma or equivalent preferred.* Retail experience preferred.* Experience handling cash, and utilizing cash registers, credit card machines, and POS systems preferred.* Able to follow pricing guidelines established in the pricing guide.* Knowledge of basic math skills.* Ability to stoop, reach, twist, lift, push, pull and move items; lift and carry a minimum of 40 pounds.* Comfortable with standing for long periods of time and the possibility of occasionally working where temperatures and climate can fluctuate.Why Goodwill?* Mission-driven nonprofit organization* Collaborative leadership team* Opportunity to impact and change lives across Southwest FloridaBenefits & Perks* Medical, dental, vision insurance* 403(b) retirement plan* Paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays* Employee Assistance Program* Employee discounts* Tuition reimbursement
