This full-time contract opportunity is designed for Special Education professionals passionate about working with children who have multiple disabilities, with an emphasis on supporting students with autism.

Highlights of the Role:

• Manage classrooms serving students with a variety of disabilities, including autism and multiple disabilities
• Teach in an autism-focused classroom with approximately 6 students
• Deliver instruction and specialized support to a caseload that includes around 8 students with other exceptionalities
• Ensure the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and collaborate with support staff and related service providers
• Foster a structured, positive, and motivating learning environment that supports all aspects of child development
• Develop creative strategies and individualized modifications to maximize student engagement and achieve educational goals
• Maintain ongoing communication with families and participate in IEP meetings to support each child's progress

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current certification in Special Education
• Previous experience teaching students with autism and multiple disabilities preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to establish rapport and trust with students, colleagues, and families
• Experience implementing differentiated instruction and behavior management strategies
• Enthusiasm for professional growth and collaboration

This position offers a predictable and balanced work schedule: Monday through Thursday from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, and Fridays from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm, allowing for valuable time outside of the classroom each week.
