Job Title: CNC Lathe Machinist

1st Shift

Pay : $22.00-$30.00/hour

Location : McHenry, IL

Job Description

As a CNC Machinist, you will complete the entire setup of CNC machines, including editing G&M code, changing tooling and inserts, and performing offsets. You will operate various lathe machines, conducting both short and long runs. First piece and in-process inspections will be carried out using micrometers, calipers, and gauges. This role requires reading blueprints to set up machinery and working with tight tolerances

Responsibilities

• Change tooling and inserts and perform offsets on CNC equipment.

• Operate various CNC lathe machines for short and long runs.

• Conduct first piece and in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

• Read and interpret blueprints for CNC machinery setup.

• Work with tight tolerances, sometimes as precise as 1 tenth (+/- .0001).

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in CNC machining, setup, and programming.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

• Experience with micrometers, calipers, and gauges for quality checks

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of McHenry, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
