Seven Healthcare are seeking an experienced RN specializing in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for an exciting travel contract in Winston-Salem, NC. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic and expanding unit that is set to transition into an ICU environment by the end of 2026. The successful candidate will bring their expertise to a teaching hospital, renowned for its Level 1 Trauma and comprehensive cardiac care services.

Key Responsibilities of the RN - PCU

• Deliver general nursing and ICU-specific care to high-acuity cardiac patients
• Manage post-surgical care, including wound dressing and defibrillation
• Interpret EKGs and perform interventions such as cardioversions
• Administer and oversee complex intravenous drips
• Provide respiratory support using bipap/cpap/hi-flow and manage ventilated patients
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure excellent patient outcomes

Requirements of the RN - PCU

• Valid BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of ICU or PCU nursing experience; CVICU preferred
• Proficiency in caring for cardiac patients and related case management
• Experience with Swanz and Impella, wound care, and EKG interpretation
• Patient care competencies in high-risk environments
