Office Coordinator - Wound Care

Additional Information About the Role Checking-in and checking-out patients, scheduling patients, obtaining, tracking and scheduling referrals, verifying insurance, answering phone and checking messages, faxing, submitting clinic office supply orders, submitting maintenance requests Must be able to multitask and work in high‑paced environment - looking for some clinical experience, self‑starter attitude, and great customer service skills Work hours will be Monday-Friday 8-4:30 No weekends or Holidays Overview Missouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. The hospital has a 24‑hour adult emergency department and cares for pediatric patients at a separate emergency department in collaboration with St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Missouri Baptist is the first and only hospital in St. Louis County to be named a Magnet® hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). The prestigious designation is the highest credential a health care organization can receive for nursing excellence and quality patient care. This recognition has been accomplished by less than nine percent of hospitals nationwide. Additionally, U.S. News & World Report ranked the hospital #2 in the St. Louis metro area. Role Purpose Coordinate office operations, check requests, petty cash, report generation and day‑to‑day office responsibilities, including Social Services. Develops and implements processes to ensure compliance with regulations. Responsibilities Develops and implements processes to ensure compliance with regulations, timeliness of report generation and functional work‑flow that supports clerical operations. Performs accurate, complete and timely data entry. Processes physician phone orders, tracks physicians visits and produces reports that tracks resident's current status. Organizes quality assurance meeting and the family counsel meeting. Educates families and physicians about admission requirements to facility.
