Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (APP)Lexington Clinic is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (PA-C or APRN) to join our Emergency Medicine team. The APP provides high-quality, patient-centered care to patients presenting with a broad range of acute, urgent, and emergent conditions.Working collaboratively with Emergency Medicine physicians and a multidisciplinary care team, our APPs evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage patients across varying levels of acuity. Successful candidates will possess strong clinical judgment, efficient decision-making skills, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment.Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute, urgent, and emergent conditions.Perform comprehensive histories and physical examinations.Order and interpret laboratory, imaging, EKG, and other diagnostic studies.Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.Perform emergency and minor procedures within scope of practice and credentialing.Prescribe medications and therapeutic treatments in accordance with applicable regulations.Collaborate with Emergency Medicine physicians, nursing, consulting services, and other members of the care team.Complete timely and accurate documentation in EMR platform (Epic).Educate patients and caregivers, including discharge and follow-up instructions.QualificationsGraduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with NCCPA certification and Kentucky licensure or eligibility; ORMaster’s degree in nursing from an accredited program with current APRN licensure in Kentucky or eligibility for licensure.Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification.ACLS certification.PALS certification.Successful candidates will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, communication and teamwork skills, professionalism, adaptability, and the ability to effectively prioritize care in a fast-paced environment.
