Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Manager I - PRO CRE

Job Description Provides analytical and monitoring support for large commercial real estate loans including an independent analysis of the creditworthiness of customers and prospects. Location Onsite at location listed Roles and Responsibilities Prepare credit analysis, including review and analysis of real‑estate specific and market information, and financial statements for commercial real estate borrowers, guarantors and prospects. Real‑estate and market‑specific analysis: review, analysis and summary of leases, appraisals, construction budgets, pro‑formas, etc.; financial statement analysis: borrower and guarantor balance sheets, income statements, global real‑estate schedules, cash flows, financial ratios, trends and debt‑repayment capacity. Use analytical tools as needed, exercise judgment to determine appropriate depth and sources of analysis, and conduct additional due diligence when necessary. Exercise discretion and experience to select the best approach to performing and presenting complex analysis in an effective, concise and thorough manner. Analyze and prepare credit approval documentation in the bank’s approval system: loan terms, collateral, entering covenants, determining the bank’s credit exposure and loan grade inputs. Ensure accurate calculations and inputs and thoughtful implementation of PRO CRE policies, procedures, guidelines and conventions. Monitor and manage assigned loan portfolio: track covenants, record financial statements and monitor company performance against expectations. Work with the Client Specialist to ensure systems of record are accurate, management information is reported timely and accurately, obtain satisfactory loan reviews, and perform regular reviews of borrowers and real‑estate projects. Participate in internal credit conversations with RMs, Credit Risk Managers and senior management, and in external meetings with clients and prospects. Participate in special projects and assignments and perform other duties assigned. Demonstrate consistently high level of ownership in line of business and team initiatives, flexibility in responding to RM/senior management and client deadlines, extreme detail and follow‑through, and independence within the framework of the role to assist in achieving business goals. All other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree (B.A.), preferably in Accounting, Finance or Business from a four‑year university. Minimum 2+ years of related experience in the Financial Services, Banking Industry, Credit Analysis, Loan Review or similar background. Familiarity with financial instruments and the processes used to analyze financial data. Good fundamental understanding of general bank operations and the lending process. Strong computer skills: Access, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and proficient skills with Excel. Ability to read and listen, understand and communicate information and ideas in a clear and understandable manner, both orally and in writing with senior executives, business unit management, staff and significant business partners. Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports and legal documents; perform simple to complex calculations; effectively research, analyze and evaluate information to make decisions, solve problems and achieve goals. Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
