Dental Assistant – Ellsworth AFB Location: Rapid City, SD. Full-Time, Monday–Friday. Job Overview Support the dental clinic at Ellsworth Air Force Base as a Civilian Dental Assistant, working alongside a military dental team, providing high‑quality care to active‑duty service members in a fast‑paced clinical environment. Key Responsibilities Provide chairside dental assisting during procedures. Prepare treatment rooms and dental instruments. Take and process dental X‑rays. Maintain patient records in electronic health systems. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post‑treatment care. Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards. Minimum Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant program. Current Dental Assistant certification in South Dakota. 2+ years of dental assisting experience. Radiology / X‑ray certification or transcripts. Experience with electronic health records (EHR). Strong patient care and communication skills. Excellent time management in a fast‑paced dental clinic.
