Maintenance manager

e you a hands-on technical leader with a track record of driving reliability and minimizing downtime in high-volume manufacturing? We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee plant maintenance operations, safety protocols, and mechanical/electrical engineering support across our facility in Middle Georgia.

In this role, you will lead a team of multi-craft technicians, optimize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), and implement proactive preventative/predictive maintenance strategy to maximize overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and schedule a team of maintenance technicians, electricians, and mechanics across shifts.
• Preventative & Predictive Maintenance: Lead the execution of PM schedules, total productive maintenance (TPM), and predictive technology routines (vibration, thermography, lubrication analysis).
• Equipment Reliability: Rapidly troubleshoot electrical (PLC, automation, VFDs) and mechanical systems (hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes) to eliminate root causes of downtime.
• CMMS Management: Track work orders, spare parts inventory, equipment history, and maintenance KPIs using CMMS (e.g., SAP, Maximo, or MP2).
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure full compliance with OSHA standards, LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), arc flash safety (NFPA 70E), and environmental regulations.
• Capital & Budget Control: Oversee maintenance department operating budgets, negotiate vendor contracts, and partner with plant engineering on capital expenditure (CapEx) installations.
