Operations Manager

Position Summary We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Operations Manager of Building Services. The Operations Manager will be responsible for the overall efficiency and operation of the building services department, overseeing sub‑departments such as Housekeeping/Environmental Services, Messenger/Transport, Linen, and Television Services. Job Responsibilities Demonstrates knowledge of the organization’s Core Values and incorporates them into performance and leadership across all levels of management. Maintains excellent interpersonal skills, service and quality attitude, and plans, organizes, and manages time effectively under pressure to meet established goals. Builds high‑level relationships with all other departments within the medical center and represents the EVS/BSD department in senior leadership meetings. Plans, organizes, and leads all departmental operations in accordance with federal, state, local laws, standards, guidelines and regulations, ensuring compliance with OSHA and risk management policies. Develops and finalizes departmental policies and procedures as needed. Conducts hiring interviews and manages labor relations, interfacing with union leadership to maintain morale and efficiency. Controls expenses and submits finalized financial (budget), staffing, and performance assessment reports, reporting on data trends and adjusting plans as required. Oversees the employee training and education program, approves and proposes in‑service topics, and ensures continuous policy compliance. Final decision‑maker for all departmental policies and procedures and leads a team capable of providing world‑class customer service. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree preferred.
