Maintenance Technician

This role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of production equipment, from basic hydraulic systems to complex CNC machinery. You will perform both electrical and mechanical work, conduct preventive maintenance, and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently to support continuous production.

Responsibilities:

• Repair production equipment ranging from basic hydraulic systems to complex CNC machinery, performing both electrical and mechanical work.
• Inspect the condition of equipment and components to ensure proper maintenance and compliance with warranty agreements.
• Perform preventive maintenance procedures on a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical equipment and production systems.
• Identify faulty equipment and determine the parts and tools required to complete repairs in a timely manner.
• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machine tool equipment and controls to minimize downtime.
• Use electrical and electronic diagnostic equipment, such as multimeters, infrared scanning equipment, and other tools, to diagnose and service applicable equipment.
• Collaborate with contractors and other maintenance personnel to ensure repairs are completed correctly and with minimal impact on operations.
• Communicate accurately, concisely, and professionally with Production personnel regarding work performed, parts ordered, and estimated completion times.
• Adhere to all Lockout/Tagout procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements to maintain a safe working environment.

Essential Skills:

• Hands-on experience with CNC maintenance, including troubleshooting and repair of CNC machinery.
• Strong mechanical skills for working with hydraulic systems, mechanical assemblies, and machine tools.
• Strong electrical skills for diagnosing and repairing electrical and electronic components of production equipment.
• Ability to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machine tool equipment and controls.
• Proficiency using electrical and electronic diagnostic tools such as multimeters and infrared scanning equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to quickly identify root causes of equipment issues.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with production and maintenance teams.
• Commitment to following Lockout/Tagout procedures and PPE requirements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience working in a die cast or similar heavy industrial environment.
• Maintaining electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical production systems.
• Experience coordinating work with contractors and cross-functional maintenance teams.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and documentation.

Work Environment:

This position offers two openings on the third shift, with a standard schedule of 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. You will work in a typical die cast environment and a busy machine shop setting, which can be dirty and industrial in nature. The facility is actively working on cleaning and upgrading the building, so you can expect ongoing improvements to the overall environment. Appropriate personal protective equipment is required in line with safety and Lockout/Tagout procedures.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Permanent position based out of Pleasant Prairie, WI.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $66560.00 - $83200.00/yr. Medical Dental Vision 401k
