• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 3 months
• Start: ASAP
• Pay Rate: $80.00–$85.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Day shift, 4x10 Hours, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Guaranteed Hours: Facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Job Summary

This is a Cath Lab Tech travel contract position at an acute care hospital in Eureka, California — rated as one of America's 100 Best hospitals for Coronary Intervention by Healthgrades.com and recipient of the American Heart Association's Bronze Get recognition. The facility serves a daily caseload of 8–12 cases covering Coronary Artery Disease, Peripheral Vascular Disease, and Cardiac Arrhythmias, including coronary diagnostic and intervention, peripheral diagnostic and intervention, and permanent pacemakers.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform procedures covering a daily caseload of 8–12 cases
• Support coronary diagnostic and intervention procedures
• Support peripheral diagnostic and intervention procedures
• Assist with permanent pacemaker procedures
• Operate within the Cath Lab / OR department using facility-provided scrubs
• Participate in on-call coverage as required
• Document and chart using Epic

Required Skills

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Proficiency in coronary and peripheral diagnostic and intervention procedures
• Proficiency in permanent pacemaker procedures
• Ability to manage a daily caseload of 8–12 cases
• On-call availability required
• Basic computer and charting skills; Epic charting system used at facility

Education Requirements

• ARRT certification required (RCIS not accepted)
• Fluoroscopy Permit required (pending Fluoro permit considered — candidate must have already applied at time of submission)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
• First-time travelers accepted

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Acute Care Hospital setting; 150 total staffed beds
• Cath Lab / OR scrubs are facility-provided
• Charting system: Epic
• Free parking provided on first day; assignment parking distributed during orientation
• No weekend requirement
• No floating requirement
• On-call required
• Block schedule: facility willing to consider
• Orientation: 30 hours
• Local candidates accepted
• RTO must be approved at time of submission

Important Notes

• RCIS certification is NOT accepted in lieu of ARRT
• Pending Fluoroscopy Permit considered — candidate must have already applied for the permit at time of submission
• RTO must be approved at time of submission
• Guaranteed hours: facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Facility has multiple resources to assist travelers with housing; if the traveler is struggling to find housing, the facility will help find housing, including hiring a realtor to assist if necessary
