Hughston Clinic Orthopaedics has an exciting opportunity to join our family as a Radiologic Technologist for our Harding Place Clinic.

Position Goal: Assist physicians and other staff members with care of patients in producing high quality radiographs.

Position Responsibilities:

• Carries out radiology requisitions and views. Uses radiographic technique, PACS, and assists other staff members as needed.
• Memorizes the specific views each physician requires on exams.
• Assists patients in getting into the positions required to get the radiographs needed with the occasional need to lift the patient.
• Takes x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
• Stocks necessary supplies.
• Uses a variety of radiation protection and shielding materials.
• Assists with and provides direct training and supervision to student technologists.
• Ensures equipment is in working order. Reports any malfunction to supervisor in a timely manner.
• Imports and uploads outside CDs for clinic.

Experience: Six months experience as a radiologic technologist required. Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of course work in radiologic technology approved by the ARRT.
• Current ARRT certification & current TN licensure.
• BLS certification.

Special Qualifications:

• Knowledge of radiographic technique
• Knowledge of PACS
• Vast knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy.
• Ability to work independently and have working knowledge of HIPAA requirements.
• Working knowledge of all types of DR X-Ray equipment.
• Valid Driver's License and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR.)
• Travel is required.
