Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/09/2026 Duration: 17 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Location: Greensburg, PA Start Date: November 9, 2026 Duration: 17 Weeks Shift: Night Shift, 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) Experience: Minimum 1 year of PCU experience License: Pennsylvania or compact license required at submission Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required Charting: Any EMR accepted Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:5–1:6 Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Floating: Required as needed Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics Unit Size: 35 beds Key Requirements First-time travelers are accepted. Previous charge nurse experience preferred. Experience with cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmias, and progressive care patients required. Common diagnoses include CHF, new-onset atrial fibrillation, COPD, and pneumonia. May manage cardiac and other drips, including Cardizem, amiodarone, nitroglycerin, dopamine, and heparin per protocol. Up to 2 RTO requests may be considered; all requests must be submitted with the application and are subject to approval. Block scheduling requires manager approval. Candidates living within a 50-mile radius are not accepted. Flu vaccination required; medical or religious exemptions only.
