Police LieutenantThe Town of Prosper is currently seeking qualified and dedicated individuals for the position of Police Lieutenant. Hiring salary range is $132,059.20 - $141,772.80. Effective within the first 35 days of employment.Qualifications: Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:High School Diploma or equivalent.Advanced Peace Officer CertificationSixty (60) college credit hoursA minimum of two (2) years of full-time experience at the rank of Police Sergeant, or equivalent law enforcement experience as approved by the Chief of PoliceAssociate's degree in Police Science, Law Enforcement Administration, Criminal Justice, Public Administration, or a related field highly preferred.Supplementation by completion of advanced law management: LEMIT, ILEA, or similar type of training ideal.Seven (7) years of law enforcement experience including two (2) years of police supervisory and administrative experience.Possession of a valid driver's license.Possession of a valid Texas Peace Officer License from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Education.Possession of Advanced Certification by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Education.Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this job.
