Maintenance worker (Plumber, Gardner, Painter)

Duration: 12+ Months

Qualifications to include:

• Minimum three (3) years of documented experience in the applicable trade.
• Resume demonstrating relevant work experience.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Training certification.
• Any applicable trade licenses or certifications (where applicable).
• Candidate information must include any conflicts during the period of performance (planned leave, military leave, extended vacation, etc.).
• Copies of all applicable licenses, certifications, OSHA certificates, diplomas, or training records.
• Candidates must be physically capable of performing heavy work, ladder work, confined space work, respirator use, and other physical requirements outlined in the Statement of Work.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Plumber: Pay Rate (Plumber): $30.00/hr. on w2 without benefits.

• Testing joints and piping for leaks
• Installing and repairing valves
• Inspecting and Testing piping after completing repairs, alternation or additions
• Periodically checking piping, fittings and fixtures for defective parts or connections
• Disassembling and repairing damaged sections or fabricating replacements
• Experience on fixing and repairing toilets and sinks
• Using hand and power tools common to the trade

OR
Gardener: Pay Rate (Gardener): $21.00/hr. on w2 without benefits.

• Use blowers to clean parking lots, sidewalks, and entrances
• Dispose of trash on outdoor trash cans
• Assist with Weed eating as needed
• Install pine straw and/or mulch and prepare flower beds
• Pickup leaves from all exterior surfaces
• Cut grass using push lawn mowers
• Trim hedges and shrubbery
• Plant flowers as needed
• Use hand and power tools common to the trade

OR
Painters: Pay Rate (Painter ): $24.50/hr. on w2 without benefits

• Performs coating work using accepted coating methods, such as brushing, rolling, spraying
• Applies coating techniques to ensure a smooth decorative appearance and meeting thickness and level requirements.
• Applies coating materials with any of the accepted trade devices including those designed to give special effects, for example, brushes, rollers, spray guns, and graining devices.
• Prepares surfaces methods such as smoothing with pumice and rottenstone, filling, shaping, and leveling with metal and synthetic resins
• Able to make repairs and alterations to paintable exterior and interior surfaces such as walls, floors, ceilings, windows, and doors.
• Apply techniques to remove wallpaper and prep surface.

VA Hours of Work:

• Contractors are required to be present 5 days a week for 8 hours each day for a total of 40 hours per week from 8:00 AM to 430 PM.
• Contractors will be paid on an hourly rate.
