Equipment service Employee (Utility) LAX SkyChefs Pay Rate: $25.00 to $32.65 per hour, no medical insurance Schedule: Full time. Job Type: Permanent. Equipment & Sanitation (Utility) Hiring immediately. Candidates must be available to work any day of the week. All Employees are eligible for weekly pay, free lunches, free uniforms, shoes and enjoy a comprehensive benefits package after 30 days that includes 401k, medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance and much more. Duties / Responsibilities Responsible for using floor machine and cleaning work areas, floors, walls, bathrooms, offices, coolers, freezers, ramp and equipment. Also responsible for cleaning kitchen tools, equipment trays, pots and pans. Empty trash around the building. International garbage handling. Must maintain sanitation standards in accordance with Company policy and USDA/FDA/HACCP regulations. Autoclave usage. Assigned to dedicated departments. Job Skills or Qualifications Must have good attendance. Must be able to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment. Must be able to work flexible hours. Must be able to walk, stoop, bend, stand for entire shift. Must be able to use fingers & hands to handle equipment. Must have the ability to push in excess of 70 pounds and lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to work around moving parts & wet floors. Must be able to work in hot, cold and wet environments. Must be able to work with cleaning and sanitizing chemicals. Be 18 years of age and eligible to work in the United States. Pass a background check. Be able to stand for the full duration of the shift. Be available to work in a 38‑degree cold room when necessary. Be a team player and work well with a diverse team from all over the world. Ability to comprehend verbal & written specifications in English. Possess basic math skills. Must be able to work a flexible schedule; this is a 24‑hour operation, 7 days a week. This is a union position – must be willing to pay union dues after 14 days. Must be available to work a full‑time position, including weekends and holidays as needed. Must be able to complete the application/orientation process in English. Ability to lift 25+ pounds occasionally, 50+ pounds frequently & 10+ pounds consistently.
