Golf Shop Assistant

Location: Arizona Biltmore Golf Club, Phoenix, AZ 85016 Position Type: Part Time Education Level: High School diploma or GED Travel: None Shift: Weekdays and Weekends Category: Admin - Clerical Scope and Purpose This position assists golfing and non‑golfing guests with retail purchases in the Golf Shop and with answering telephone and booking tee times. Essential Functions Check in guests who are playing golf. Answer questions about the golf course and resort. Sell merchandise on the Golf Shop sales floor. Use the Point of Sale (POS) computer system to ring up transactions. Answer telephones and reserve tee times. Help stock merchandise and keep the sales floor neat and clean. Attend monthly and weekly staff meetings, including safety meetings. Qualifications Must be able to read, understand, and communicate effectively in English. Basic computer skills. Exceptional guest service and public relations skills. Can perform professionally in a high volume, high profile, demanding environment. Physical Requirements Constant standing, walking, reaching, grasping, seeing, hearing, talking. Frequent bending, stooping, pushing or pulling, lifting in excess of 50 pounds. Work Environment Typical indoor retail environment. Inventory and storage areas may be dusty, especially during cleaning. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent certificate. Previous golf shop or retail experience required. All team members must maintain a neat, clean, and well‑groomed appearance suitable for public golf courses (specific standards available). Pay $15 per hour plus eligible for tournament gratuity and quarterly bonus program.
