Tech - Cath Lab/EP

Job Summary:
The Cardiovascular Technician (RCIS/Rad Tech/CST) supports the Invasive Cardiovascular Services Department by assisting during procedures, operating equipment, and ensuring patient safety. This role involves collaborative work with physicians in both invasive and non-invasive cardiac testing environments.

Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians as a scrub assistant, procedure circulator, and recording technician during cardiovascular interventions.
• Operate and maintain all equipment used in invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures.
• Ensure adherence to sterile techniques and safety protocols throughout procedures.
• Develop and expand knowledge of all diagnostic and treatment procedures related to cardiac care.
• Document all procedural details accurately in respective charting platforms.
• Support ongoing learning for invasive and non-invasive cardiac testing methods.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or Surgical Technology program.
• Must be registered or licensed as a Radiologic Technologist, Cardiovascular Technologist, or Certified Surgical Technician.
• Previous Cath Lab experience preferred, with a working knowledge of sterile surgical techniques.
• Ability to assist during complex invasive cardiovascular procedures.
• Valid state licensure (TN or compact license) required.
• Willingness to obtain RCES certification within two years if hired for EP Lab.
