As an Inventory Clerk in the cannabis industry, you will play a crucial role in managing inventory processes, ensuring accurate tracking of cannabis products and supplies, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations. Job Responsibilities Manage and maintain accurate inventory records of cannabis products, including tracking quantities, expiration dates, and strains. Conduct regular physical inventory counts to ensure accuracy between records and actual stock levels. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including retail, processing, and sales, to coordinate inventory movements and fulfill orders efficiently. Assist with the procurement process by monitoring inventory levels, identifying low‑stock items, and placing orders with suppliers. Maintain a clean and organized inventory storage area to optimize efficiency and compliance with safety regulations. Follow all state and local regulations regarding the storage, handling, and transportation of cannabis products. Perform quality control checks on incoming cannabis products to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations. Generate and analyze inventory reports, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to ensure accuracy. Assist with inventory reconciliation during regular audits and during compliance inspections. Keep up to date with current regulations and best practices in the cannabis industry to ensure adherence to compliance requirements. Education & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in the cannabis industry. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi‑task effectively. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies efficiently. Familiarity with inventory management software and systems, with the ability to quickly learn new systems. Knowledge of state and local regulations pertaining to the storage, handling, and transportation of cannabis products. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate with cross‑functional teams. Understanding of quality control principles and experience with quality control checks. Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions independently. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines. A willingness to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, if required. Physical Requirements Must have the ability to push, pull, or lift a minimum of 50 pounds if relevant to job duties listed above. Hand dexterity and the ability to do repetitive movement. Must be capable of sitting, squatting, standing, kneeling, bending, or walking throughout the workday. Work in a controlled environment with varying temperatures and humidity levels. Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves, masks, and lab coats as required. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
