Member Service Representative

About this Position Provide top notch customer service to our members by greeting them with a warm, friendly face and delivering personal service to meet each member’s individual needs. Accurately and efficiently process transactions for members including cashing checks, accepting deposits and withdrawals, processing loan payments, money transfers and loan payments. Balance each day’s transactions and verify cash totals. Perform specific assigned side-jobs and assist other member service representatives with a variety of duties as required. What You’ll Do Receive deposits in person or by mail. Receive loan payments in person or by mail. Process cash advances, cashiers’ checks, money orders, and similar transactions. Disburse cash or check withdrawals in person. Process transfers. Answer the phone and assist members with inquiries or direct to the appropriate department. Perform transactions via drive‑up teller window and process night‑drop transactions. Verify transactions, monitor deposit amounts, examine documents for endorsement and negotiability, detect and resolve discrepancies promptly. Keep BSA officer aware of all items requiring attention. Ensure members’ requests and questions are promptly resolved. Receive and process new member accounts and changes to existing accounts or direct to Membership Service Officers as needed. Receive and process changes of name, address, and other account information as needed. Maintain privacy of member account information. Ensure the Credit Union’s quality reputation is maintained and projected. Keep supervisor informed of area activities and any significant problems or concerns. Complete required reports and records accurately and promptly. Cross‑sell Credit Union products and services. Ensure work area is clean, secure, and well maintained. Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor. What You’ll Bring High School graduate or equivalent required. One to three years of similar or related experience. Cash handling and customer service experience is strongly preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. What You’ll Get Weekly pay.
