Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Restaurant Manager to join our leadership team in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will be an ambassador for our brand, embodying our core values and leading by example. Reporting to the General Manager, you will assist in overseeing all primary functions of the restaurant, including service, kitchen operations, and online ordering. The Restaurant Assistant Manager is responsible for the seamless execution of day-to-day operations during their shift, which involves leading the team, managing food quality, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. This position is critical for driving operational excellence and upholding our high standards in our Dallas, Texas location.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Operations Management

• Execute store operations during scheduled shifts, organizing opening and closing duties as assigned.
• Run shifts effectively in the absence of the General Manager, ensuring all standards are met.
• Communicate store goals, operational focuses, and business opportunities to the team and leadership.
• Ensure all facilities, store technology (including Toast and Hot Schedules), and systems are functioning correctly, escalating issues to the General Manager when necessary.

Food Journey Management

• Oversee food quality, ensuring all products meet and exceed customer expectations through regular tasting and immediate corrective action.
• Manage inventory and food costs, including placing Sysco orders.
• Guarantee all food safety practices are consistently followed in accordance with company and regulatory guidelines.
• Identify and address any gaps in the food journey to maintain product integrity from kitchen to customer.

Team Leadership & Development

• Provide clear, specific, and respectful coaching to team members to ensure operational excellence and enhance performance.
• Assist with new team member training and validation, leveraging company tools and resources.
• Adjust daily team deployment to meet business needs and ensure efficiency.
• Foster a positive and motivational work environment aligned with our mission and values, recognizing individual and team accomplishments.
• Provide performance feedback on team members to the General Manager.

Customer Experience

• Anticipate customer and restaurant needs by constantly evaluating the environment and customer cues.
• Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation in the lobby, front line, restrooms, and outdoor seating areas.
• Guarantee the delivery of safe, high-quality, and presentable food to every customer.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Food Handler Certificate as required by local regulations.
• Proven experience in a leadership role within the restaurant industry.
• Demonstrated knowledge of food safety practices, restaurant operations, and inventory management.
• Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Proficiency with restaurant management software (e.g., POS systems, scheduling tools) and the ability to learn new technologies.
• Strong mathematical skills relevant to restaurant management.
• Ability to direct the work of others and build positive relationships with team members, customers, and leadership.
• Capable of lifting 30 to 50 lbs and operating all kitchen equipment.
• A valid driver's license and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
• Demonstrates honesty, integrity, and a positive, motivational attitude.

Additional Information

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. The schedule can vary weekly and includes nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs. A flexible schedule is required.
