Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs and develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, providing explanations and instructions to patients and responsible parties.
• Apply nursing clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition in a timely manner.
• Meet Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care and maintain complete and accurate medical records.
• Contribute to a healthy workplace environment by managing conflict using professional communication skills.
• Float to clinically appropriate units as needed, within scope of practice, licensure, and demonstrated competencies.

Required Qualifications

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• NIHSS certification required for applicable unit assignments.
• ACLS certification may be required depending on unit float assignment.
• Ability to participate in continuing education and maintain competency across clinically appropriate units.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in orthopedic, bone, and joint nursing care.
• Familiarity with additional certifications such as PALS, TNCC, or ACLS across varied acute care settings.
