Work Environment\nThis position offers a completely remote work setting, facilitating telehealth consultations that are accessible and convenient for clients throughout the state. The flexibility of this environment not only supports our employees' work-life balance but also ensures that our patients receive care in a comfortable setting. A structured work schedule is primarily Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM with the possibility of some evening appointments depending on patient demand. As we prioritize patient care, the ability to adapt to client schedules is essential.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough assessments of new patients to evaluate their needs and formulate personalized treatment plans based on evidence-based approaches. \n
- Provide individual counseling utilizing techniques such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy, helping clients explore strategies to overcome their substance use challenges. \n
- Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions that foster a supportive environment for individuals in recovery, enhancing their connection to the recovery community. \n
- Collaboratively work with psychiatrists and addiction medicine specialists to offer integrated care and ensure synchronized treatment strategies. \n
- Perform crisis intervention during substance-related emergencies, demonstrating the ability to remain calm and decisive in challenging situations. \n
- Educate clients and their families about addiction, recovery strategies, and available community resources to empower them along their recovery journey. \n
- Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards, ensuring that patient records are accurate and up-to-date. \n
- Participate actively in team meetings and case consultations to enhance treatment strategies and foster teamwork. \n
- Continuously engage in professional development activities to remain informed about the latest trends and best practices in addiction treatment. \n
The ideal candidate will work primarily with individuals grappling with substance use disorders, each presenting unique backgrounds and recovery challenges. Our clientele often includes both males and females from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, requiring a counselor who appreciates the nuances of varied experiences and approaches each individual with an open-minded and personalized strategy.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A current licensed mental health provider credential (LMFT, LPC, or LCSW) is required. \n
- A master’s or doctoral degree in a relevant field. \n
- Strong understanding of substance use disorders, best practices in recovery-oriented care, and therapeutic interventions tailored to addiction treatment. \n
- Proven experience of at least two years in providing psychotherapy in a structured setting, particularly in addiction counseling. \n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that demonstrate compassion and a genuine understanding of the recovery process. \n
- Proficiency in telehealth technology and virtual counseling platforms, ensuring effective delivery of therapeutic services. \n

- Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy in substance use disorder contexts is strongly preferred. \n
- A background in community outreach or participation in recovery-focused support groups is a plus. \n
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is advantageous to streamline documentation processes. \n
