Step into a dynamic educational support position facilitating American Sign Language (ASL) communication between students and a virtual physical therapist across two vibrant areas—Santa Fe and Albuquerque, NM. As an ASL Facilitator, you’ll play a key part in ensuring accessible therapy sessions for children and young adults with hearing or communication needs in a school setting. Responsibilities and Key Duties:

• Assist in interpreting and facilitating communication between students and the virtual physical therapist using ASL
• Work 1-2 days per week at either Santa Fe or Albuquerque sites
• Provide support for students ranging from 18 months up to 22 years old, depending on site location
• Maintain a supportive, positive environment for young learners and their families
• Set up and manage virtual therapy sessions, ensuring clear understanding for all participants
• Collaborate with special education teams and related service providers to enhance student engagement
• Keep basic records as needed for communication and progress tracking

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL); experience as an interpreter or paraprofessional highly valued
• Prior background in educational or school-based settings is preferred
• Ability to work supportively with students across the full childhood and young adult age spectrum
• Flexible, patient, and responsive communication skills
• Reliable transportation for travel between school sites as needed
