Technician IV Equipment Line

Technician IV Equipment Line – Supports manufacturing equipment maintenance and modification at Abbott Vascular in Temecula, CA. Responsibilities Ensure compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures. Respond to assembly line equipment repair calls by diagnosing problems and performing necessary repairs. Document equipment qualifications and upgrades, including preventative maintenance, in the MP2 maintenance database. Maintain backup equipment and ensure spare parts are kept at required levels to meet manufacturing needs. Assist industrial, manufacturing, and quality engineers in equipment operation. Provide feedback to equipment development engineers on equipment issues and suggest improvements to uptime. Assist in construction of worktables and setup of equipment on manufacturing assembly lines. Modify existing assembly lines or workstations as required to meet manufacturing demands. May provide work direction to other employees in the work group. Plan and organize project assignments of substantial variety and complexity, initiate or maintain schedules, and establish priorities. Solve complex problems requiring extensive interpretation of procedures and practices; select methods and practices, propose independent solutions, make decisions, and implement projects from concept to completion. Required Qualifications Associates Degree (or equivalent combined education and work experience). Minimum 6 years related work experience; may require certification or license in area of expertise. Extensive knowledge of complex technical concepts and practices in a functional area; working knowledge of related disciplines. Ability to utilize and interpret advanced numerical and statistical data and/or computer software programs for documentation, analysis, and problem resolution. Capability to perform extremely complex or specialized technical assignments, design, develop, or modify equipment, materials, systems, or products. Strong judgment, initiative, creative troubleshooting, and continuous quality improvement skills in a quality system environment.
