Job Title : Staff Accountant
Location : Chicago, IL 
Pay Range : $75-80k 
Benefits : Health, dental, and vision insurance. 401(k) 

Role Overview : Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged in the search for a Staff Accountant. Our real estate client located in downtown Chicago is looking for a Staff Accountant to join their team. They are seeking a candidate that has 3+ years of accounting experience, brings strong Microsoft Excel skills, and is a collaborative team player. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply immediately!

Key Responsibilities :

• Financial Reporting and Month-End Close
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
• Perform monthly and annual account reconciliations
• Maintain and ensure accuracy of the general ledger
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies 
• Support internal and external audit requests

Qualifications :

• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Index)
• Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles
• Advanced attention to detail and analytical skills
