Details Work in the Med/Surg Tele unit of a short-term acute care hospital Level III trauma center and teaching hospital with 733 staffed beds Patient ratio of 1:5-6 Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM) Required to work every other weekend No on-call responsibilities Floating required within scope to like units or sister campus depending on staffing needs Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active RN license (NC or compact) required, must be in hand prior to consideration Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Advanced EKG exam required as part of compliance for this specialty Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Tele nursing experience required Epic EMR experience required SSN and date of birth required for consideration Additional Information Scrub color requirement: royal blue and white Provide nursing care within a Level III trauma, teaching hospital environment RTO limited to a maximum of 4 days, subject to manager discretion Only 1 holiday may be approved for time off during the assignment Night shift assignments may be extended up to twice; day shift assignments may be extended once, after which a 6-month break is required before reapplying Previous staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler Local candidates are not accepted within a 50-mile radius of the main campus American Traveler Job ID P-747975.
