Hospital Scheduler - Schedgistrar Associate

Position Purpose Accurately completes the pre-registration process in the OB Unit. Helps to ensure that the patient flows through the scheduling and registration process as quickly as possible ensuring all registration and financial requirements are completed in a consistent manner. Acts as a liaison for patients with questions regarding appointments, procedures outside of clinic, clinical flow and staff knowledge. Employment Type Full time Shift Day Shift What You Will Do Responsible for collection of complete demographic, financial information and clinical orders (when applicable) Contact and register all patients who have scheduled procedures and visits within the center Update patient records, demographic and financial information Greet patients and check in patients into computer system and if patient is not pre-registered, complete the registration process Collect, process and reconcile patient liabilities Minimum Qualifications Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required Familiarity with scheduling evaluations, preferably in Epic, is desirable 2 years clerical experience in a medical field preferred Minimum of 6 months customer service experience required Knowledge of medical terminology preferred Position Highlights And Benefits 40 Hours per Week - 1st shift (Days) Our Mission and Core Values Great Benefits and Health Insurance Coverage - Starting Day 1 Ministry/Facility Information Saint Francis Hospital is committed to exceeding the expectations of our patients and families by providing world-class service in a progressive, people-centered, compassionate health care environment.
