Bristol Myers Squibb seeks a bacteriologist for pharmaceutical development in New Brunswick, NJ. The role involves conducting microbiological testing, environmental monitoring, and analytical work to support drug manufacturing and quality assurance in a unionized position.
Responsibilities
- Perform microbiological testing, bacterial endotoxin, and water quality analyses
- Conduct environmental monitoring and water sampling for manufacturing support
- Execute analytical tests and investigations of product and environmental excursions
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory instrumentation; troubleshoot equipment and methods
- Support professional staff in product testing and method development as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in biology or allied science with microbiology coursework
- Minimum 1 year pharmaceutical microbiology experience, preferably parenteral/aseptic operations
- Proficiency with computer programs and laboratory systems
- Demonstrated technical competence in aseptic technique and microbiological testing
- Ability to work with chemical, radiological, and biological agents safely
Compensation: $47.86/hr
