Spindle is partnering with an outstanding school district in Milpitas, seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year. This full-time contract role runs from August 13th, 2026 through June 8th, 2027, with an opening for teachers certified in Moderate/Severe or Extensive Support Needs (ESN).
ROLE OVERVIEW
You'll support students with learning disabilities, developmental delays, and behavioral challenges by building and carrying out individualized IEPs. This includes adapting instruction to different learning styles and providing consistent, structured support.
You'll collaborate closely with families, general education teachers, and support staff to create an inclusive classroom environment where students can grow academically, socially, and emotionally. A variety of teaching strategies, assistive technology, and adaptive tools are available to help students stay engaged and make meaningful progress.
You'll work with a caseload of 1st-3rd grade students with Extensive Support Needs in an SDC setting with additional support staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
California CTC credential with Moderate/Severe or Extensive Support Needs (ESN) Authorization
Previous experience in a Special Education teaching role
Proven ability to develop and implement IEPs
PAY & BENEFITS
Hourly rate: $40–55, dependent on experience
