Concrete Finishers / Rod BustersThe jobsite is technically located in New Mexico, just outside of El Paso.We are seeking experienced and dependable Concrete Finishers / Rod Busters to support construction operations on industrial and commercial job sites. This role is responsible for reinforcing concrete structures and performing high-quality concrete finishing work. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with rebar, formwork, and concrete placement while maintaining a strong focus on safety and productivity.Key ResponsibilitiesConcrete Finishing DutiesPerform layout, site preparation, placement, and finishing of concreteSpread, level, and smooth concrete using hand and power tools (trowels, screeds, floats)Form joints, edges, and expansion areasApply curing compounds and monitor curing processRepair, patch, grind, and finish concrete surfaces for quality resultsRod Buster / Rebar DutiesRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specificationsDetermine quantities, sizes, and placement of reinforcing steelCut, bend, and install rebar using shears, bar cutters, torches, and bending equipmentTie rebar securely using wire and hand toolsPosition and secure steel bars, rods, mesh, and cables in concrete formsPlace supports (chairs/blocks) to maintain proper spacingAssist with reinforcing steel modifications as requiredGeneral DutiesFollow direction from supervisors and execute job plans efficientlyMaintain a safe, clean, and organized work environmentComply with all company and site-specific safety policiesWork collaboratively with crew members and other tradesMeet productivity standards and complete work in a timely mannerQualifications & RequirementsMinimum 3–5+ years of experience in concrete finishing and/or rebar installationAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprintsStrong understanding of concrete placement and reinforcing processesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to follow all project safety requirements including but not limited to PPE, hazard recognition, and safe work practices.Must be authorized to work in the U.S.Must pass drug screening and background checkValid driver's license and reliable transportation preferredTWIC card may be required depending on job locationPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs or moreAbility to stand for extended periodsFrequent bending, kneeling, lifting, and twistingAbility to climb ladders and work on scaffoldingComfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditionsWork EnvironmentConstruction and industrial job sitesExposure to outdoor elements and physically demanding conditionsFast-paced environment with strict safety standardsPreferred QualificationsExperience in industrial, refinery, or commercial constructionExperience with welding rebar or structural steelFamiliarity with safety compliance standards (OSHA)Experience working with formwork systemsEqual Opportunity EmployerWe are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
