Introduction We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Labor Relations Manager for a 6-month contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in labor relations, experience in union contract compliance, and the ability to handle complex negotiations and grievances. Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant labor relations experience
- Proficiency with web-based databases and Client Office suite, including Excel and PowerPoint
- Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Strong administrative skills, including attention to detail and organization
- Experience drafting, negotiating, and working with union contracts
- Advise internal clients, including management and human resources, regarding union contract compliance for bargaining units and/or assigned topics
- Advise internal clients regarding discipline of union employees, including just cause standards, as applicable, investigations, and rights to union representation
- Responsible for handling union grievances through arbitration phase as assigned
- Serves as the initial point of contact for union inquiries and concerns; triage issues, conduct research, provide responses, facilitate labor-management meetings
- Support and execute union contract administration
- Support collective bargaining, including preparation, research, contract implementation, and drafting as assigned
- Provide training to HR and managers on assigned topics
- Provide additional support to Labor & Employment department as needed
