Job Title: Production Helper Job Description

Assist with the production of aluminum powder by loading raw materials into machines, removing metal, and operating screening/blending equipment. This is an outdoor role requiring comfort with working in the elements, including extreme heat and cold.

Responsibilities

• Load raw materials into machines and remove metal.

• Screen, blend, and pack aluminum powder into 55-gallon drums, Supersacs, or railcars.

• Operate blending towers and assist with furnace, screen, and blending operations.

• Move packed materials as part of logistics and maintenance duties.

• Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain plant cleanliness.

• Adhere to strict safety protocols in a manufacturing environment, working in varied weather conditions.

Essential Skills

• General production experience.

• Mechanical aptitude.

• Experience with general labor, production, construction, assembly, forklift, hand tools, power tools, machine operating, inspection, math, and concrete.

• Ability to operate machinery.

• Familiarity with using a tape measure.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Physical stamina to lift 50 lbs and climb three flights of stairs to blending towers multiple times during a shift.

• Willingness to work a 2-12 hour, 24/7 rotating shift schedule.

• Comfortable working outdoors in extreme heat and cold, with access to small buildings to warm up or cool down.

• Strong adherence to safety policies.

Work Environment

Industrial manufacturing environment with potential exposure to year-round outdoor conditions. The role operates on a 2-2-3 schedule from 6:45 to 7, rotating days and nights every 28 days.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Palmerton, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $26.10/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
