Madame George is a New York City cocktail bar seeking an experienced, hospitality-focused Server to join our team. We are looking for someone who thrives in a high-energy environment, has a passion for cocktails and spirits, and understands that great service is about creating memorable guest experiences.What You'll Do
- Deliver warm, attentive, and professional service to every guest
- Guide guests through our cocktail, spirits, wine, and food offerings
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of New York spirits, distilleries, and cocktail culture
- Make informed recommendations based on guest preferences
- Maintain service standards in a fast-paced cocktail bar environment
- Work closely with bartenders, barbacks, hosts, and management
- Ensure accurate order entry, payment processing, and table maintenance
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture
- Minimum 2 years of serving experience in a cocktail-focused restaurant or bar
- Strong knowledge of New York State spirits, craft distilleries, whiskey, gin, vodka, rum, agave spirits, and classic cocktails
- Ability to confidently discuss spirits, cocktail ingredients, and production methods with guests
- Excellent communication and hospitality skills
- Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- NYC Food Handler's Certificate preferred
- Is passionate about cocktails, spirits, and hospitality
- Enjoys educating guests and enhancing their experience
- Works well under pressure in a busy NYC bar environment
- Takes pride in teamwork, professionalism, and guest satisfaction
- Is eager to continue learning about spirits and cocktail culture
