This role drives strategic quality initiatives, mentors and enables Localization Quality Managers and Localization Quality Associates, and serves as a senior subject-matter expert in linguistic quality, LQA methodologies, and language asset governance. Working closely with the Localization Quality Team Lead and cross-functional stakeholders, you will ensure consistent, scalable, and client-aligned linguistic quality across all programs while supporting both operational execution and long-term quality evolution.Strategic Quality ManagementLead the planning, design, scaling and overseeing of linguistic quality programs in collaboration with the Localization Quality Team Lead and cross-functional teamsDesign, refine, and operationalize linguistic quality frameworks, policies, and methodologiesAct as a senior advisor on linguistic quality standards and industry best practicesDefine account audit frameworks and quality assessment approaches across designated accountsOversee and validate account-level quality audits conducted by Localization Quality Managers and Quality AssociatesAnalyze audit results to identify cross-client trends, systemic risks, and strategic improvement opportunitiesGuide quality improvement initiatives based on audit insights and performance dataCustomer ServiceAct as an escalation point for complex or high-impact linguistic quality issuesParticipate in the review and validation of Corrective Action Reports (CARs) and Client Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) in collaboration with Compliance and Production teamsSupport client-facing initiatives, including quality discussions, audits, and business reviewsContribute linguistic expertise to RFPs, test translations, solution design, and client meetingsAdvise on customized linguistic quality solutions to meet complex client requirementsMetrics and ReportingDevelop and maintain quality metrics, reporting frameworks, and dashboardsTranslate data insights into actionable recommendations and strategic decisionsLead research, evaluation, and adoption of new linguistic QA technologies, including automation and AI-powered solutionsTeam Mentorship and OnboardingMentor, coach, and support Localization Quality Managers and Quality AssociatesParticipate in interviews and hiring decisions for quality team rolesParticipate in performance reviews and handle administrative tasks related to direct reportsCreate and maintain onboarding programs and training materials for new quality team membersPromote best practices in linguistic QA, terminology management, and language asset governanceAdministrative and Operational OversightOversee quality-related administrative tasksReview and support memoQ project creation, setup, and configurationAssess, audit, and improve project templates and workflows to ensure quality and efficiencyEnsure operational processes align with defined quality standards and governance modelsLinguistic Assets and ProcessesDefine account and program level translation memory management strategies and governance models in collaboration with Technology teamsSet standards and best practices for glossary and terminology managementGuide teams on complex asset-related decisions and client-specific customization strategiesBuild and refine processes for terminology management, style guide development, query handling, and asset maintenanceManage third-party review efforts, LQA exchanges, and external benchmarking initiativesApprove review methodologies, evaluation criteria, and resource selectionLeverage third-party insights to inform vendor management strategies, quality policy updates, and client advisory discussionsAct as the senior escalation point for critical findings arising from third-party reviews or auditsQualifications for SuccessMinimum 5 years of experience in the Localization industry, including extensive linguistic QA experience and CAT tool usageMinimum 3 years of leadership or management experience in quality-focused rolesProven ability to lead cross-functional quality initiatives and manage large-scale programsAdvanced knowledge of LQA tools, methodologies, and language asset managementExperience supporting enterprise-level clients and complex localization programsAbility to drive innovation in quality processes, tooling, and automationStrong coaching and mentoring skills with a passion for team developmentExcellent client-facing communication and presentation skillsAbility to operate strategically while remaining hands-on and detail-orientedTech-savvy, with experience leveraging technology to optimize workflowsStrong analytical skills and ability to translate data into strategic actionEnergetic self-starter with a creative and structured approach to problem-solvingProficiency with MS Office and Adobe software productsFluency in English;
