About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent experience required License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, CPI preferred Must-Have: Nurse to patient ratios of 1:6 Experience with Epic charting Willingness to float to like units as needed Ability to manage a diverse patient population including adults and geriatrics Description: This role requires a registered nurse to provide care in a medical surgical setting during night shifts. The candidate will be responsible for administering medication, monitoring patient progress, and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive care. The nurse will handle various medical procedures including blood product administration, central line management, and wound care among others. The expected patient load is 6 patients per nurse. Participation in rapid response team activation may be required. Weekend shifts are part of the scheduling expectations with 6 weekend shifts required within a 6-week period. Travelers will receive orientation on the unit and are expected to complete all compliance requirements prior to starting.
