Assistant Controller

Assistant Controller - Hartford, CT Beacon Hill was founded to set a new standard in search, career placement and flexible staffing. Our client, a growing manufacturing organization, is seeking an Assistant Controller to support accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and business analysis activities. This role will work closely with leadership to help maintain accurate financial information, support operational decision-making, and contribute to ongoing process improvements. Responsibilities Support month-end close, financial reporting, and general accounting activities. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Prepare and review account reconciliations and supporting schedules. Monitor financial performance and help identify trends and variances. Support inventory, cost analysis, and operational accounting processes. Assist with audit preparation, internal controls, and compliance-related activities. Partner with leadership on special projects and process improvement initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of accounting or finance experience. Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting required. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required. ERP system experience required; SAP experience preferred.
