Mechanical Journeyman
General Motors Proving Ground
General Motors is seeking a Mechanical Journeyman to support our automotive manufacturing operations. In this skilled labor role, you will install, troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, powertrains, conveyors and production equipment that build our vehicles and EVs. You will perform preventive maintenance, read blueprints and schematics, and use precision tools, welding and fabrication to keep equipment running safely and reliably. Working on-site with cross-functional teams in a culture that values safety, integrity, inclusion and innovation, you’ll help drive uptime, continuous improvement and the future of transportation.
