Construction Project Lead: Multi-Project Retail Signage

The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Construction Project Lead for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Marlborough, MA. Job Description Payrate: $38–47 per hour (W2) Duration: 4½‑month contract Construction Project Lead directly oversees miscellaneous construction and signage projects within different chains. Aids in project schedules and assigning General Contractors and/or Sign Vendors. Distributes all required project documents to external and internal contacts. Negotiates pricing, reviews and approves proposals and invoices, tracks progress and ensures close‑outs for all miscellaneous construction and signage initiatives assigned. Supplies updates detailing the status of all miscellaneous construction and signage initiatives on a regular basis. Requirements 5–8 years in Construction, Facilities, Store Planning, Fixturing, Architectural Design, or related construction trades. Strong organization and project planning skills. Effective communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Highly self‑motivated, works well in a team environment. Understanding and ability to read blueprints, specifically floor plans, elevations, and site plans. Strong knowledge of store layouts, HVAC, electrical and plumbing criteria preferred. Experience working on complex projects is a plus; retail experience preferred. General fixturing and retail store planning knowledge a plus. Ability to decipher landlord and city codes as it relates to exterior signs. Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and MS Word; Lucernex and Service Channel experience a plus. Major Areas of Responsibility Create construction contract preparation memos and DocuSigns for all assigned projects. Ensure sign vendors adhere to contract pricing and specifications for all assigned projects. Track and adhere to budgets, review, and approve proposals and invoices for all assigned construction and signage projects. Award miscellaneous construction projects to General Contractors and/or Sign Vendors. Send kick‑off emails for all assigned projects, conduct remote kick‑off meetings for applicable project types. Track progress of all assigned projects. Adjust contractor schedule strategies to ensure timely completion of projects and cost‑effective execution methods.
