What you'll do As a Senior Contracts Administrator supporting Viasat's Mission Connections and Cybersecurity (MC2) business area, you will support a wide range of proposals, contracts and programs in a cradle-to-grave manner for MC2's crypto and networking product development and sales. The day-to-day The Senior Contracts Administrator will lead negotiations and exercise independent judgement in managing all phases of contract execution and customer interaction and will partner with other leaders to execute upon strategic plans and objectives. This role involves determining contractual approach for key deals and implementing and maintaining effective practices for the identification and mitigation of contractual risk for the business area. You must be able to demonstrate that you can analyze, interpret and effectively connect with various levels of management on contractual requirements, obligations and risks. Support and diplomacy in helping the business resolve contractual issues is also required. A strong familiarity with the fundamentals of US Government FAR and DFARS contracting (primarily FAR Part 12), as well as UCC Article 2 and general commercial contracting principles is preferred but is not an absolute requirement. A willingness and eagerness to learn is a strong factor. You will be involved in the administration of assigned proposals and contracts. Organization, attention to detail and the focus to close actions in a multifaceted environment are vital to be successful in this position. What you'll need 5+ years' experience in contract administration of large U.S. Government FAR Part 12 prime contracts and/or subcontracts Demonstrated experience with FAR Part 15 Solid understanding of various contract types, including Firm Fixed Price, Time and Material, and Cost-reimbursable contracts Strong communication and writing skills, including the ability to write courteous, concise and impactful correspondence and brief senior leadership on proposal and program risks Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and goals in a fast-paced environment (Note: The assistant cut off the JSON output due to length.
