Job Title: Accelerometer Calibration Technician Location: Chatsworth, Onsite Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Optional Overtime) Salary: $25-35 per hour, depending on experience (DPE) Company Overview: Founded in 1978, Micro Quality Calibration (MQC) is one of the largest privately owned metrology labs on the West Coast, serving aerospace, defense, medical, automotive, and other precision‑driven industries. Position Overview We are looking for an experienced Calibration Technician specializing in Accelerometer Calibrations. You'll ensure the accuracy and reliability of clients’ measurement instruments, requiring precision, organization, and communication. Responsibilities Calibrate, verify, and adjust accelerometers and related dynamic sensors. Use vibration shakers, signal conditioners, and precision equipment to conduct calibrations. Generate calibration certificates and documentation in accordance with standards. Maintain and verify reference standards used in accelerometer calibration. Assist in troubleshooting equipment and ensuring compliance with technical procedures. Collaborate with engineers and quality personnel to support technical audits and continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements and Skills Must have proven Accelerometer Calibration experience. Military PMEL/TMDE/DOD training and familiarity with ISO 17025 standards. Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Organizational, time management, and prioritization abilities. Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills to meet deadlines effectively. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. for potential onsite customer visits.
