Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a healthcare facility located in the area. The role involves providing perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced hospital setting with a focus on Trauma and Neuro cases. The position features a rotating shift schedule and requires availability for call rotations, with a commitment to patient safety and adherence to clinical protocols.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Shifts are 12 hours, with varied days and call responsibilities in rotation with staff. The minimum hours per week are 36.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license to submit; BLS (AHA) certification; minimum of 2 years of RN experience; trauma and neuro experience; scrubbing required; experience in general, ENT, neuro, spine, orthopedic, and robotic cases.
• Preferred Qualifications: Charge nurse or house supervisor experience is preferred but not required; scrub color/dress code scrubs provided.
• Additional Information:
  • Unit notes indicate a hospital cancellation policy allowing up to 4 shifts cancellation within a 13-week assignment.
  • EMR system used is EPIC.
  • Level 2 Trauma certification required; care setting is acute.
  • Orientation includes unit-specific training.
  • Call response time is 30 minutes.
  • Floating within Zone 1 (includes PEN, SFH, SFI, SMC, STM) may be asked only in case of extreme need.
  • Shifts include weekend and holiday rotations, including the 4th of July if applicable.
