About the Position

Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years License: Current Registered Nurse License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: - OR experience or StarRN Description: The unit has 7 beds and a staff of 35 individuals, including RNs, Surgical Techs, OR Aides, Supply Techs, and a Secretary. On Day Shift, the unit consists of 7 RNs, 7 Surgical Techs, 4 OR Aides, 2 Supply Techs, and 1 Secretary. There is no night shift staffing. The patient-to-staff ratio is 1:1. The unit uses various types of OR equipment. The documentation system in use is Meditech. Call requirements are expected to be 3-4 times per month. Typical procedures performed include laparoscopy, robotic surgery, plastic surgeries, neurosurgery, laparotomy, urology, orthopedics, and ENT procedures. Candidates should be easily adaptable to a fast-paced environment and function well independently. Scrub color will be provided by the unit.
